What is the Reviews sections?
Showing Reviews on your website is a great way to build trust an confidence with potentiate customers. Reviews can be positive or negative, and they can help potential customers make informed decisions about whether to use you, a product, or service.
The Reviews section will generally show the name of the person that made the review, as well as their comments and how many stars were awarded.
How do I create a new Review?
To create a new Review do the following:-
- First tap or click Reviews from the menu;
- Then tap or click Create a new review;
- Now complete the displayed fields:-
- Review by (persons name) - Enter the name of the person that wrote the review. Search engines, like Google, require the reviewer's name to be a valid name. For example, "50% off until Saturday" is not a valid name for a reviewer.
- The review - Enter the honest review that was given. You should note that legal action could be taken by local authorities for publishing fake reviews.
- Review stars - Select the number of stars that were given for this review.
- Link this review to a Spotlight or Product - If this review was for a specific product or service select it from the list, or simply leave this blank.
- Then tap or click Create.
- Now that the Review has been created you can select an image for it (this should generally be a photo of the reviewer), tap or click Set a featured image for this review - you will be directed to the Media screen, where you can upload a new image or select an existing one. Once selected or uploaded this will automatically be set as the Reviews image. See, How do I use the Media screen? for more details;
How do I edit a Review?
To edit a Review do the following:-
- First tap or click Reviews from the menu;
- Then tap or click the Review you want to edit;
- Now update the displayed fields as needed:-

- Review status - Select the Reviews status from the drop down menu. Only Reviews that are set to Approved will be included in the various areas of your website.
- Review image
- To change the Review image tap or click Set a new featured image - you will be directed to the Media screen, where you can upload a new image or select an existing one. Once selected or uploaded this will automatically be set as this Reviews image. See, How do I use the Media screen? for more details.
- To remove the Client/ Accreditation image tap or click Remove featured image.
- Finally tap or click Save Changes.
How do I delete a Review?
To delete a Review, do the following:-
- First tap or click Reviews from the menu,
- Then tap or click the Review you want to delete;
- Now tap or click Delete this review and then tap or click Ok on the popup notice.
How do I configure the general Review settings?
To configure the general Review settings, do the following:-
- First tap or click Reviews from the menu;
- Then tap or click the Review Settings tab;
- Then update the displayed fields as needed:-
- Display this section in menu's and on the home page - Select if the Reviews section is to be displayed. If it is to be displayed, choose whether this will show on the home page and have a link in the menu, or if it will just show as a section on the home page.
- Reviews heading - This is the title that will be shown just above the Reviews section on the home page, and will also be used as the menu link if you have chosen to enable that above. You should keep this less than 5 words long, and be sure to include at least 1 keyword to help boost your on page SEO.
- Reviews subheading - You can include a subheading for the Reviews section, which will appear with the heading above. You should keep this less than 10 words long, and be sure to include at least 1 keyword to help boost your on page SEO.
- Maximum number number of Reviews to show on the home page - Set the maximum number of Reviews to show on your home page. Each time the home page is loaded these items are shuffled so a different selection is shown each time and in a different order. We recommend setting this to 6 or less, to help boost your on page SEO.
- Finally tap or click Save Changes.
