How do I set-up an e-mail account on an Android phone?
If you Sign in to your account the details on this page will be customised to you.
To set up an e-mail account on your Android phone do the following:-
- First, from the home screen, find and then tap the Settings icon;
- Then scroll down and tap Accounts and backup;
- Then tap Accounts;
- Now scroll down and tap Add account;
- Tap Email;
- Now tap Other;
- Enter the requested information and then tap Manual setup and the tap IMAP account;
- Email address - this is your full e-mail address;
- Password - this is your e-mail account password (this is case sensative);
- Now complete the requested information and then tap Sign in to finish;
- Account:-
- Email address - this is your full e-mail address;
- Username - this is your full e-mail address;
- Password - this is your e-mail account password (this is case sensative);
- Incoming server:-
- IMAP server - this must be set to mail.blue-ring.co.uk;
- Security type - this must be set to SSL;
- Port - this must be 993.
- Outgoing server:-
- SMTP server - this must be set to mail.blue-ring.co.uk;
- Security type - this must be set to SSL;
- Port - this must be 465;
- Require authentication to send emails - this must be turned on.
- Username - this is your full e-mail address;
- Password - this is your e-mail account password (this is case sensative);
