How do I set-up an e-mail account on an Android phone?

To set up an e-mail account on your Android phone do the following:-

  1. First, from the home screen, find and then tap the Settings icon;
  2. Then scroll down and tap Accounts and backup;
  3. Then tap Accounts;
  4. Now scroll down and tap Add account;
  5. Tap Email;
  6. Now tap Other;
  7. Enter the requested information and then tap Manual setup and the tap IMAP account;
    • Email address - this is your full e-mail address;
    • Password - this is your e-mail account password (this is case sensative);
  8. Now complete the requested information and then tap Sign in to finish;
    • Account:-
      • Email address - this is your full e-mail address;
      • Username - this is your full e-mail address;
      • Password - this is your e-mail account password (this is case sensative);
    • Incoming server:-
      • IMAP server - this must be set to mail.blue-ring.co.uk;
      • Security type - this must be set to SSL;
      • Port - this must be 993.
    • Outgoing server:-
      • SMTP server - this must be set to mail.blue-ring.co.uk;
      • Security type - this must be set to SSL;
      • Port - this must be 465;
      • Require authentication to send emails - this must be turned on.
        • Username - this is your full e-mail address;
        • Password - this is your e-mail account password (this is case sensative);
