How do I setup the Western Union payment module?
To enable Western Union payments to be taken on your store, the Western Union module must first be setup. To do this do the following:-
- First tap or click Ecommerce from the menu;
- Then tap or click Payment Options;
- Then tap or click Western Union;
- Now complete the displayed fields:-
- Payment option status - Set this to Enabled so that Stripe payments can be taken or Disabled to turn Stripe payments off;
- Payee name - Enter the name the customer is to make the payment to. This will generally be your name or business name.
- Payee street address - Enter the street address the customer is to use when making the payment. This will generally be your address or your business address.
- Payee city & postcode - Enter the city & postcode the customer is to use when making the payment. This will generally be your city & postcode or your business city & postcode.
- Zone - You can allow Western Union payments Worldwide or only in certain regions like Europe;
- Finally tap or click Save Changes.
Note
When using this module the customer will need to visit a Western Union agent or westernunion.com to make a payment. The orders payment status will be set to Waiting Payment, which you will need to update once you manually confirm that payment has been received. You should not process or send the order until you have confirmed that payment has been received.
