How do I make changes to an existing e-mail address on my domain?
To make changes to an existing email address (mailbox) on a domain, do the following:-
- First tap or click My account from the menu;
- Then tap or click the Active Product Settings tab;
- Then, under Domains & Mailboxes, tap or click the domain you want to create a new e-mail account (mailbox) for;
- Then, on the Mailbox Settings tab, tap or click the email address (mailbox) that you want to change;
- Now amend only the displayed fields you want to update:-
- Mailbox name (i.e. hello) - enter a new name for your mailbox, do not include your domain name. (i.e. hello not hello@example.com);
- Mailbox password - enter a strong password for your new e-mail account (mailbox). For tips on how to create a strong password see Username and password best practices.
- Finally tap or click Save Changes.
Note
The server will take a few minutes to update the e-mail account (mailbox) and an e-mail will be sent to your main e-mail address once the update is complete.
